Buddy did something really special for us before he left for the North Pole on Christmas Eve. He snapped a picture of Santa Claus in our den! If you look closely, you can see Buddy waiting for take off. Bye, Buddy! We’ll see you next Christmas! Have fun in the tropics!
We said goodnight to Buddy tonight and left him by Santa’s milk and cookies and the Doritos for the reindeer. We also sent him home with a family picture so he could put it up in his elf room at the North Pole. Morgan’s parting words, “Don’t take my Barbie.”
Buddy cozied up with the nativity people last night to hear about Baby Jesus. What a great story!
This morning we had to hunt quite a bit for Buddy. You can see that in the first video below. You might also notice Morgan’s puffy lip from her girl vs. tile floor match last night. Ouch!
The second video shows our “Baby Jesus” advent calendar that we do each day. Today was the day we’ve been waiting for! The last door! You’ll also witness Mason’s slight OCD with advent cast placement. Wonder where he got that trait?
After hearing about all the fun we had at the ice show yesterday, Buddy decided to create a Shrek the Halls display of his own. He even found a big blue coat like we had to wear. Cool!
Buddy gathered some of the guys together for male bonding by the grill. They were checking marinade recipes, sipping juice, and talking about guy stuff all night.
Out of the grill and into the freezer…We visited the Shrek the Halls exhibit yesterday and saw some really cool (no really, really cool – like only 9 degrees!) ice sculptures from Shrek. They even had an ice display of Baby Jesus. We liked it – frozen noses and all!
Buddy must smell like Christmas cookies because every girl in the house wants to be near him. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s elf enough to sit through a few chick flicks. Take notes, Ken.
Buddy was playing piano for quite an audience last night. In fact, we had some newcomers to the scene (check out the video). Ken was trampled in the chaos…or was that strategy on Buddy’s part. We also saw Dirk singing along. Wish we could have heard their jam.
Looks like Buddy and Ken had a soccer match last night. Buddy made a great save leaving Ken on the losing end…again.
