Getting Acquainted With May Flowers and SPF 55

We love flowers! We love to look at them. We love to touch them. We ESPECIALLY love to smell them! This month Mom and Dad showed us lots and lots of flowers.

We took another trip to the Dallas Arboretum where we saw more flowers than we have ever seen in one place before – except maybe for the last time we visited the Arboretum. This is one of our favorite places to spend a nice afternoon. And it was even more fun this time because we could get out of our wagon and run right up to the flowers for a sniff…or two…or eleven.

Mom and Dad also let us help plant flowers on our patio. We get to water them and smell them everyday. How did we get to be so lucky?!?

This month our magic cactus from The Rock also had some flowers. The legend is that this cactus only blooms because it lives at our house. We will be sure to take good care of it so we can see cactus flowers again next year! Of course, we will let Mom and Dad do all the cactus touching.

It’s heating up outside which means it’s time for us to cool off in the water! Last year, Mom and Dad took us to the giant bathtub down the street…the pool. We’ve already been back this year, but now we’re big enough to walk around in the kid pool! We’ve been under water a few times too, but that’s not on purpose. Good thing Mom and Dad have good reflexes!

A new fun adventure for us is Duval Falls! It’s our own private swimming pool (with a cool slide!) and an Elmo sprinkler! We don’t know why Mom calls it “Falls.” Guess you’ll have to check out the Twinema for some videos of our splashing and sliding about.

While Mom is sure to lather us up in SPF 55 (no kidding!), we do actually stay indoors when it’s too hot and sunny. We have some new kid sofas to chill out on, and we like to doodle together. Mason seems to use his left hand for doodling – Mom is hopeful!

We also love to play our own special songs on the piano and strum a tune or two on the guitar. We find our music to be most meaningful when we shake our booties. Again, the Twinema has proof.

This is only the beginning of a super-fun summer!
