The Twinema is Now Open

The new year is off to a great start! Santa Claus brought Mom and Dad a super-cool video maker, and now they’re producing twindependent films – in other words, they’re chasing us with the camera. That may be what motivated us to start walking this month! You can see us in action on the new tab at the top of this page. Mom and Dad will be adding new videos to show our loved ones how much we’ve grown!

And speaking of growing…we went to the baby doctor man this month for our 15-month check up. He told Mom she and Dad are doing a good job – it always makes Mom happy when she hears that from someone who went to school a real long time to learn about babies. Mason grew two inches in the last three months. He now stands tall at 33 inches and weighs in at 26 pounds. He can reach counter tops and doorknobs – you know, all the important stuff to help with a baby escape. Morgan is 31.5 inches tall and 23 lbs 8 ozs. This is the first time we’re more than one inch and one pound apart. That might explain why total strangers ask Mom and Dad how far apart we are in age – one minute, duh! The baby doctor also told Mom that our last eye check up was very good – Mason was in the normal range and Morgan’s eyesight was near perfect. We like that news because it means we won’t miss anything!

We have about 10 teeth each and the doctor thinks we’re due for more really soon. In fact, he spotted eight places where Mason might get teeth right away. Ouch! Our appetites are still good and we keep trying lots of new things.

So that’s the update from us. Take a look at our videos and feel free to send scripts in for consideration.

Ten Reasons We Loved Christmas

It was hard to limit ourselves to ten wonderful reasons we loved Christmas, but we did the best we could. Here are some of the highlights of our holiday season (in no particular order):

1. When you’re a twin, you get twice the presents! What’s his is hers and what’s hers is his – yes, even the baby dolls and trucks.

2. Mom and Dad have a toy dog that raps “Jingle Bells.” We LOVE to shake our booties to the music. Too bad he has to live in the attic 11 months of the year.

3. Santa Claus is cool enough to bring cell phones to 14-month-old kids. Next year Mom and Dad might ask him to bring toy phones with off switches. One little detail missed by the elves this year.

4. The house was FULL of sweets to eat! We love GiGi’s cookies and Baba’s chocolate cake. YUM!

5. This year we were able to get much closer to the shiny tree with lights. We were very good to not touch it too many times. It was hard to resist!

6. We learned that gift bags can also be worn as party hats.

7. Mom was off from work for a few days, and we got to spend some quality family time together!

8. Wrapping paper makes cool noises, but doesn’t taste very good. A lesson we’re glad we learned early.

9. Everyday we got to open the doors on our advent calendar and learn about the Christmas story.

10. Toys, toys and more toys! We haven’t been bored yet, and with this year’s loot we’re bound to be entertained for all of 2009. Well, at least until our 2nd birthday.

Happy New Year!
