What a One-derful Year!

Yay! We celebrated our first birthday on Oct. 23. Mom and Dad threw a little party together with some of our family members. We had our first taste of cake with Mom and Dad on our actual birthday and then a second shot at our big party for all of the spectators to enjoy! Check out the birthday pictures on Snapfish using the link to the right. We saw so many flashbulbs that day! Thank you to Aunt Kelly Bentley and Aunt Kelly Harrelson for working as paparazzi for the big day! Dad also put together a sweet video that showed a little glimpse of all the growing we’ve done during our first year. Check it out above…

The baby doctor man took a look at us too and we passed all of his tests with flying colors! Mason is 31.5 inches long, and Morgan is just an inch shorter at 30.5. Mason weighed in at 23 lbs 13 ozs, and Morgan was 21 lbs and 4 ozs.

We feel so lucky to have so much love around us! We’re looking forward to many more parties to come! We’re not sure Mom will let us have any more frosting though…

Cooler Weather + A Wagon + Fresh Air = 2 Happy Babies!

Mom and Dad are thankful that the weather is cooling off so we can get outside and use up some of our energy. We’ve been going on wagon rides every night before our baths. We’ve made friends with lots of neighbors and puppies. Mason spends some of the ride hanging over the side trying to figure out how to take the wagon apart (Dad calls him a “ninjaneer”), and Morgan likes to hang her feet over the side and chill out. Not very ladylike, but cute nonetheless.

Mason is considered a flight risk 24/7. He is fast and he knows it. His favorite route is from the nursery to our baby bathroom to get a rubber ducky. He likes to stand up every chance he gets. His walking days are right around the corner.

Morgan has decided that she would rather stand up than crawl. She’s not quite sure where she wants to go when she gets on her feet, but she knows she’d rather be up than on her bottom. She still “yells” at Mason when he even looks like he might be thinking about touching her.

The other night during dinner, Mason said Mama and pointed to Mom. When Mom tried to get Mason to say it again when Dad was in the room, Mason looked right at her and said “dum dum.” Dad really thought that was funny. Mom thinks we might need to work on learning names.

We like to point at each other and laugh. It’s our own private joke that Mom and Dad don’t quite get, but it makes them giggle too. We’ve been baby food free for the whole month and we’re loving the new things we get to try.

Rumor has it that we’re having a birthday in a few weeks. Wow! My how time flies when you’re learning how to be a baby human. We’re looking forward to facing the front of the car, trying milk, and doing all the other cool things we’ll get to do. We don’t know what those things are, but we’re sure they’ll be cool.

The next time you hear from us, we’ll be 1!
