Don’t You Want Somebunny To Love?

We have had a holiday whirlwind since we first arrived! From Halloween to Easter – and all in the first five months of our lives! We’ve partied hard!

Just about this time last year, Mom and Dad first learned that we were growing. Mom tells us they were excited and scared all at the same time. We hear it’s hard to grow two healthy babies at one time, but we wouldn’t know. Mom and Dad had lots of family and friends praying and hoping for our safe arrival. They all knew how much Mom and Dad wanted to be Mom and Dad.

What a difference a year makes. In just 12 months, we went from tiny specs on a fuzzy black and white picture to two big and strong babies. We’re really talking and singing now. And laughing all the time! Our Dad is so funny! We love it when he makes up songs and dances for us and when Mom plays peek-a-boo with us. We are happy babies and couldn’t be healthier. We still love our cereal and can’t wait to try new foods in the next few months. And after testing Mom and Dad’s ability to function on limited sleep, we’ve decided to give in and sleep a lot longer. Most nights we sleep all the way until morning with the exception of Morgan’s “I lost my pacifier!!” cries every once in a while.

Spring is coming and we’re loving the fresh air when we take spins around the block in our super-cool Jeep stroller. We’ve also started showing a little skin in our spring clothes. Watch out! Cute, chubby baby limbs are out and about!

Love Is In the Air

Whew! February seemed like a short month. We heard there was an extra day this year, but it still seemed to fly by!

We felt quite festive on Valentine’s Day and celebrated with our lovely sunglasses. Also this month we started smiling almost all the time and talking more and more. Mason likes to giggle when Dad does tickle time, and Morgan loves to “swim” in the bathtub and chuckle while she soaks.

We went to see the baby doctor man for our four month check-up. We got a super report and measured in as GIANT babies. Mason was 26 inches long and 15 pounds 9 ounces and Morgan tipped the scales at 14 pounds 5 ounces and measured in at 24 and a half inches long. Baby doctor man told Mom that Mason is in the 75-90 percentile for his length and Morgan is in the 50-75 percentile for her length. That’s all Greek to us. As long as we’re growing, we’re happy!

This time Dad was out of town so GiGi went with us to the baby doctor man. We won’t lie – when we heard we were getting more sticks in the legs, we were not happy. And when we realized Mom and GiGi aren’t as brave as Dad, we had to buck up and pull it together. This time we only cried for a little bit and then we were back in our car seats and all smiles. Mom only got a little teary and GiGi held it together pretty well. Sometimes you have to take one for the team!

Now we spend time practicing sitting up and looking around. We started eating cereal this week and we think it’s pretty yummy. Morgan gets especially excited when she sees the spoon coming. Mason likes to taste his hands alot, so he gets pretty messy. One of our favorite things to do is music time. Mom and Dad make fun music play and we wiggle and dance on our blanket. It’s quite a workout!

We also started giving Mom and Dad a little more sleep. After our baths we like to have story time and then we drift off to sleep. We wake up at about 5:30 in the morning, which is perfect timing for Mom to be able to feed us before she goes to that work place. One day we slept all the way until 8:00, but we felt like we missed too much so we went back to waking up early.

In March we think we’ll just keep growing and eating up that yummy cereal stuff. We hear some bunny is coming to visit soon. That should be interesting!
