Hap!

dscn0591.jpgWhat’s Hap you ask? That’s one quarter of Happy Birthday. We’re one quarter of a year old now, and Mom and Dad wished us Hap!

January was a busy month for us. We went to our first Baylor game and ooohed and ahhed over the bright lights and fun music. We got to do our first official “Sic ‘Em Bears” and sing the “Good ‘Ol Baylor Line.”

Mom started leaving early in the mornings and she was clean and dressed before noon. At first we were suspicious, but then she explained that she was going to a place called “work” and she wasn’t allowed to wear the same sweats she had been wearing since October. She tells us the people at this “work” are very nice and they like us alot. They even sent presents home for us on her first day back. She’s lucky to get to be home a couple of days a week with us. On top of that, we get to have fun with Dad the other days of the week. We feel pretty lucky!

Mom and Dad say we’re growing like weeds. We’ve been wearing our six month outfits already and we graduated to bigger diapers. We both love to smile and we’ve been talking up a storm. Mom and Dad talk back so they must understand us. Morgan has found Mason, but Mason still thinks he is an only child. Mom laughs when Morgan sees Mason and locks in on him. She’s pretty curious about where he came from. One of these days he’ll see her too and then the party will start.

We’re not quite ready to sleep through the night. We still wake up every few hours to be sure we weren’t abandoned and that we’re not missing any late night parties. We are sleeping for longer stretches, but still not for anything longer than about four hours at a time.

Now that Mom has gone back to that “work” place, we can’t get on the computer very often. We’ll try to keep you up-to-date as much as we can. Until then, we’ll be eating and growing some more!

Happy New Year!

We’re only a few days into 2008 and we’ve already tried something new! Last night, Mom and Dad told us the slumber parties were over and we would need to try sleeping in our own beds. At first we weren’t crazy about the idea, but by the time bedtime rolled around we were too sleepy to notice. In fact, we were so sleepy we went the longest stretch between bottles in our whole lives – 5 1/2 hours!! Morgan hollered first, and when Mom realized how long we’d been asleep she rushed upstairs to be sure Mason was still breathing! Of course he was snoozing away and happy to have the whole bed to himself.

Was it because we were sleepy, or because we weren’t waking each other up with every kick or wiggle? No one knows, but it made Mom and Dad so happy! Of course, every wake up time after that was back to our three hour schedule. We don’t want it to get too good for Mom and Dad!

Mom tells us 2007 was a lucky year for her and Dad. We think that has something to do with our arrival. We’re thinking 2008 will be our year. We have so much learning and growing to do, it’s sure to be a busy year.
